| Simon & Schuster distributes for The Millbrook Press
May 15, 2002-- On Monday, June 17, 2002, Simon & Schuster will commence billing, fulfillment and shipping of customer orders for The Millbrook Press, utilizing Millbrook Press pricing and discounting. There are several key steps required to successfully complete this transition to our new distribution arm, Simon & Schuster. We sincerely appreciate and anticipate your cooperation. The first step will be our formal request that our electronic trading partners redirect their Millbrook Press purchase orders to the electronic mailbox of Simon & Schuster. The Simon & Schuster EDI team will contact you directly regarding the process steps to coordinate the vendor sourcing change in your Systems. During the months of April and May, Millbrook Press titles and products will be loaded into the Simon & Schuster Ordering database, and the inventory will be moved into their Bristol, Pennsylvania Distribution Center. Secondly, Simon & Schuster will become the vendor of record for all Millbrook Press products and master title information data. This change will require that your company take steps to link all active and not yet published Millbrook Press titles in your ordering database to the Simon & Schuster Ordering SAN 200-2442. Schuster & Schuster will process your EDI purchase orders and support all electronic transactions currently in production at S&S for Millbrook Press shipments. Lastly, if you currently are not trading with Millbrook Press electronically, Simon & Schuster will be coordinating EDI implementation of Millbrook Press and Simon & Schuster mutually shared customers. We will be more than happy to assist you with any business or technical questions in this area. Pubnet Orders to S&S from School or Libary Accounts require separate Library Processing services instructions communicated to Simon & Schuster. TRANSITION PLAN TIMELINE · May 24, 2002: Last day to send EDI purchase orders to The Millbrook Press at Mercedes Distribution. · May 27, 2002: All new Millbrook Press EDI purchase orders go to Simon & Schuster at SAN 200-2442. · May 28 - May 31, 2002: Millbrook will complete final shipment of orders from Mercedes Distribution · June 3, 2002: Millbrook Press will pass backorders to the Simon & Schuster System for Order Processing input, in preparation for A/R billing and fulfillment. · June 10, 2002: Simon & Schuster begins selected invoicing, fulfillment and shipping of Millbrook Press products. · June 17, 2002: Simon & Schuster commences full invoicing, fulfillment and shipping services of Millbrook Press products.
