| Pubnet Publisher Prospect:
Thank you for your interest in Pubnet®, the publishing industry's leading E-Commerce system. Pubnet is a membership organization that provides you access to more than 4,000 bookstores. Pubnet can be considered a SINGLE trading partner to you. It’s easiest to think of us as a “consolidator” – we consolidate the purchase orders for all the bookstores and put them in your own EDI mailbox, so you can retrieve with just one mouse click. You also will be able to receive purchase orders, from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble College Division, Rittenhouse, J.A. Majors and many other retail and college bookstores. All Pubnet bookstore members send Purchase Orders and require that you send back Purchase Order Acknowledgements (POAs). Since some Pubnet bookstore members will accept electronic invoices at this time, you should consider sending the invoice transaction set (810) in addition to the Purchase Order Acknowledgement (855) transactions. Currently these members include Amazon.com and Baker & Taylor. In many cases you will be paid more quickly if you submit electronic (EDI) invoices. Becoming a supplier member of Pubnet is very easy. Simply complete the Pubnet Electronic Commerce Agreement and Schedule A and fax them to us at 908.219.0195. The Supplier Registration for can be completed on-line. After our Techical Client Service group has received the signed agreement as well processed your registration, you will receive a “Welcome to PUBNET” e-mail containing your mailbox information, including IDs and passwords, instructions for connecting to our network and step-by-step guidelines for testing and certification.
